About Me
My name is Kevin Graham or Gerbil to my friends, (age demographic there Rat fans...). I have been into motorbikes since I was old enough to ride illegally on local waste ground and as soon as I could I had a full licence. I have owned numerous bikes over the years settling at the moment on a Yamaha TDM 850, a 1976 Kawasaki Z900A4 and a Suzuki GS 850 Trike. My partner Tracey is also a bike rider (she would have to be) Ducati 620Sie Monster and an Italjet 180 Dragster, she seems to have an Italian theme going on.
On leaving school I worked for 8 years deep sea, mainly for BP Shipping and then a further 10 years on the Cross Channel Ferries, during this time I gained a lot of experience and knowledge regarding modern paints and anti corrosion coatings. In 1996, I suffered an un-expected brain haemorrhage, which caused me a few problems for a little while (no driving licence!!!!), and I had to leave the Merchant Navy. I went into partnership with a close friend doing car repairs and bike repairs when I could twist his arm. This business whilst successful, suffered a set back when my partner was told he had a serious problem with his legs and could no longer work. I was planning to continue the business until I saw an advertisement for the Bike Medic franchise, and in July 2003, I purchased the Bike Medic franchise for the CT postcode area of Kent. The Bike Medic System is dedicated to mobile cosmetic paint repairs. After about the first 18 months of running The Bike Medic Mobile System I realised that I was being asked to do more and more work that could not be done mobile either due to the size of the damage or the constraints of the British weather. Not wanting to turn work away I started undertaking this type of work at my home. Before long I had taken over three rooms and my garage and when things started to overflow into the living room I realised I needed to look for premises more suitable for this work. In 2005, I purchased a workshop and set about refitting and equipping it to suit my needs and undertook further training on the new technologies and paint systems that are coming to the market and more specialised plastic welding training to cover the new mixes of plastics the manufactures are now using to make panels and parts. In January 2006 The Bike Clinic was born, the rest as they say; is history. I still undertake mobile work using the Bike Medic system if practical and cover the CT postcode area for the national call line.
In our spare time Tracey and I like to follow the bike racing, whether it be local club racing, BSB, WSB, Isle of Mann, we can normally be found somewhere. Our local track is Brands Hatch and this; with Assen are our fixed calendar dates every year. We always look forward to meeting new and old friends and customers, to have a chat and a beer. Look out for the 26ft Chevrolet Motorhome and our little Honda CY 50(?!) Check the website for events we are attending during the year. For the 2005 and 2006 season, I had the pleasure of painting Dean Ellison's race bikes in the British Superbike series and continue to support him when possible. Best of luck to him for the future season. For 2007 he is riding a Ducati 999RS for Team Pedercini in WSB.
